 The Ask

Transforming KPMG Transactions and Restructuring into KPMG Deal Advisory called for more than a name change. The goal driving the transformation was to shift market perception of KPMG as “number crunchers” to “trusted advisors,” driving more business through every phase of the deal lifecyle. 


The Challenges

  • Engaging global leaders with competing priorities in a new, major one
  • Convincing executive leaders and practitioners across KPMG member firms in 65 countries to change how they work, adopting new processes, platforms, and behaviors
  • Securing the cooperation of busy partners and subject matter experts whose expertise was needed in developing content
  • Versioning all communications by language as well as content—critical in financial services where offerings and compliance issues vary widely by country


The Deliverables

  • Internal awareness and training tools such as videos, interactive pdfs, brochures, posters, and emails
  • High-impact welcome kits for 65 global leaders
  • Client-facing materials including videos, ebooks, and print collateral

A welcome kit contained everything that 35 KPMG global leaders required to roll out the transformation across all member firms.
